- Cedar is briefly mentioned during Fang's flashback, though not by name. Cliff taunts his brother, telling him their father will never make him Alpha if he acts like a 'scaredy-pup'.
- Cedar is mentioned again during Fang's flashback. Fang tells Flutter that his father is dying. Flutter expresses her grievances but Fang assures her that he is old and it is his time. Fang announces that his father has named him the next Alpha.

- He is the father of Cliff and Fang and former alpha of the Pack of Night. Though he is not seen in the animated version of Cow of the Wild he is mentioned and he is mentioned in the written version.
